Talk:The Philadelphia Story (play)

Odd parallel edit

I ran across this story: Life goes to the Milford Haven Wedding

about a wedding at Milford Haven with a Philadelphia socialite A. J. Drexel Biddle who was divorced from Miss Duke vs. a wedding at Philadelphia with socialite C. K. Dexter Haven divorced from Miss Lord. The same Biddle family was subject of a book My Philadelphia Father later also made into a play and a movie. The article is from 1950 after this play was written, so evidently not an inspiration, but odd coincidence? W Nowicki (talk) 19:41, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Terrible article edit

Can anyone out there improve this article? There is no plot description, just for starters! How long did it run? What was the critical reception? Is the play's book still in print? etc etc etc. Then also, has the play been revived in the following decades, and if so, when, where and with whom? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.125.236.189 (talk) 02:39, 10 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

According to the DVD commentary of the 1940 film the play was quite a hit by the time of its initial release and even went on the road. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.5.231.140 (talk) 10:19, 18 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
