Google scholar
editPlease hold off on notability, Jayen466 Is going to show me how to use Google Scholar to cite the monographs by notable writers. EricT (talk) 22:59, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Base
editIt seems the Institute was based in London in 1972 [1]. It was based in Tunbridge Wells in 1978 [2]. The World of Learning says, in both editions, that it was founded in 1966, rather than 1965. Perhaps the charity registration date can shed on light on the discrepancy. Jayen466 15:03, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
- Also see [3], which again gives a date of 1966. (This actually looks like a potentially useful source for adding a few more details to the Idries Shah article, I'll have a look at that.) Jayen466 15:08, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Possible future disambiguation
editThe Institute for Cultural Research is the London-based group founded by Idries Shah. Currently Institute for Cultural Research redirects there.
However, other ICRs exist, so maybe keep "Institute for Cultural Research" for possible future disambiguation?
Official name of charity
editHave checked the UK Charity Commission and also the ICR's official web site and can confirm that the title is "The Institute for Cultural Research" with a leading "the".
Default sort is set to "Institute for Cultural Research, The".
