HI This is an article about an episode of a well known radio show This American Life. It was recently featured in The New York Times for its cultural influence and prescience (cited). The nominator stated that "This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader."

I do not feel that criterion A1 applies in this case. A1 states "Very short articles lacking sufficient context to identify the subject of the article" should be speedily deleted. The article clearly identifies it as an episode of the radio show This American Life. I do not feel that criterion A1 can be reasonably said to apply to this article. Update, request for speedy delete was declined. Huadpe (talk) 07:14, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yall go ahead and do your Wikipedia things. I got no dog in that fight. I just want to say that the influence of this program on other public radio producers is pretty obvious. Several other radio shows have recently tried to do their version of this kind of comprehensive, yet personalized story coverage. If future notoriety is any consideration in keeping articles around on this site, then I say keep it. You're going to see this show mentioned by other journalists. --74.64.11.54 (talk) 05:11, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
