Assess for Schools edit

Classed as mid importance but we need referenced claims to fame ... article needs expansion. I saw the Helen Keller link on the talk page and moved it as a demo. Infobox and pictures would be good. Welcome Victuallers 20:17, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I went to CSW, and never heard about Helen Keller attending. Are you sure this is right?

Yep, this was in 1896 back when the school was located in Cambridge, MA and called The Cambridge School for Young Ladies. Here's one source [1], but just google Helen Keller Cambridge School and you'll come up with plenty of other sources. Sweetpond 12:44, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I re-added Ellen Feiss to the list of notable alumni. Is there a valid reason why she was removed? Also, I removed Gwilym S. Brown from that list, as there is no existing Wikipedia page on this person, and no explanation why this person is notable. Sweetpond 15:19, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Gwilym S. Brown was a staff writer and then Associate Editor for Sports Illustrated magazine from its founding until his death in 1974. He covered Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, Billy Caspar, the story about Jim Ryun being the first high school runner to break the 4 minute mile and wrote a book with Tony Lema called Golfer's Gold. http://www.si.com/vault/search?term=gwilym%20brown

Fair use rationale for Image:Csw logo.gif edit

Image:Csw logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Question edit

I read in the newspaper today that the former assistant IT Director of this school was arrested for allegedly photographing girls unawares in the bathroom via a hidden camera. Should this be included in the piece, or no? No. No it should not be. Look at the Columbine High School page for precedent; the shooting happened 10 years ago and it's barely mentioned (in good taste, a wikipedia rarity). In fact, I think this article should be locked, because the page will blatantly become a discussion of this case, not of the school itself. --Marco Passarani (talk) 09:10, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
