Map of proposed changes?
editI originally made this comment on the MoveOntario 2020 page, but given that The Big Move succeeds it, it might be worthwhile re-asking it here.
I've been thinking about this for a while and I think it might be useful to make a map showing all of the proposed changes. I'm not sure what the easiest way to do this and Google Maps might offer the best solution, but if someone is interested in making that, that would be brilliant! I have a hard time visualizing all of these proposals, so a map would be a great way to add value to this page (and likely many others). Yaminator talk 00:16, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
- I agree, but I just haven't had the time. What we basically need is a recreation of Schedules 1 and 2 (pages 92 and 94) of the Big Move document, along with the revisions that were made this year. The only progress I have made is listing all the projects and wikilinking them. --Natural RX 11:10, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed! I hadn't realized that there was a map in that document. That's very helpful. The tables you have are brilliant and would add a lot of value to the pages. Perhaps some sort of mockup in Google Maps would be possible? It wouldn't be the most sophisticated design, but it would at least be rather clean/ simple. Yaminator talk 22:50, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
- The issue with using Google is it wouldn't be free content. I would like to make it myself using Inkscape, but I just don't have enough free time. I think we need to reach out to a Wikipedian who does this regularly, and is skilled with putting these things together. --Natural RX 22:43, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
- P.S. There is now a navbox for Big Move projects: {{Big Move Project}}. I'm preparing it for rollout soon. --Natural RX 22:44, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
