Dialogue edit
From the article: "You remind me of a man." "What man?" "The man with the power." "What power?" "The power of hoodoo." "Who do?" "You do!".
I heard this as a child. My parents said it. But the joke is that it is repeated over and over: "Do what?" "Remind me of a man!" "What man?" etc.
I suspect this is not original in this movie, but comes from vaudeville. If wikipedia thinks it is notable, let's track it down.Wastrel Way (talk) Eric Wastrel Way (talk) 00:53, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
Music edit
Wagner's music is used in this movie and then perverted for humorous effect. When Cary Grant appears as the knight in shining armor, we hear Siegfried's theme ... I think from the "Rhine Journey" but I may be wrong. When Shirley Temple is shown up to the apartment of Richard Nugent, we hear a bit of the Prelude to Act 1 of Lohengrin, which then turns into lighthearted movie music.
