This article is not finished. I presume it will always be somewhat short but I do have more info that I want to add. VK35 17:16, 30 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Was out in Texon, last, about April 2010. NO visible "new" street signs, though the postal boxes were newer looking and there were a few passable roads. I want to take my dirt bike out and really explore, but I'm not sure if it's considered private property now or still is on "public" land.

Texon today

I will be passing through Texon (where I lived for several months in 1956) early next month, and will attempt to verify current population as well as check out those new street signs. Also will take a photo of some sort (the Santa Rita monument?) to satisfy Wikipedia's request for such. Casey (talk) 13:56, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

On a rainy afternoon last week the roads into the townsite across the RR tracks had mud holes and I didn't try them with my Prius. No street signs visible, although one street light could be seen peeking over the scrub trees. The only sign of civilization was an Apache Petroleum field office a hundred yards east of Santa Rita derrick. (Visible at [1].) Somebody living nearby needs to go in and give us a report. I took some Santa Rita photos and will post when I figure out how. (Actually it deserves a Wiki page of its own so I'll make one and link from here.) Casey (talk) 22:14, 13 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
