Dialogue

edit

Like "Yet Another Movie," "Frost" has some faint dialogue running through parts of it ("Never again, never again"). Does anybody know what (if anything) it's from? Dyfsunctional 15:19, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think it's Nick Mason talking (as on "Signs of Life"). Other fans have identified the lines as being more or less like this:"...Something's happening...One thing, One thing which will bring me here, never, ever again...never again...never again"

Waters on bass in an obvious mistake. Anyone know who really was playing?

The title of this number, among with its location between the two songs 'a new machine...' makes me think of the novel 'For a breath I tarry' written by Roger Zelazny. In this novel Frost is a huge computersystem controlling the northern hemisphere of a deserted planet earth. At the end of the story, he is able to create a human body from remains found in the polar ice and transports his own essence into this body. Hence the text 'who wants to live forever' in 'a new machine part 1'? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.232.160.78 (talk) 13:58, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

"Additional musicians"

edit

Does anybody know why some musicians are listed as "additional"? What makes them additional as opposed to Gilmour and Mason? Particularly unexplained is Rick Wright, who is a co-founder of the band. I have the 1987 edition of the vinyl and I don't see any mention of anyone being "additional". The only difference is that from Richard Wright onwards, musicians' names are in a slightly smaller typeface on the main sleeve. It seems somewhat inaccurate to describe Wright as "additional", unless there is further documentation regarding the issue, in which case it should be cited, perhaps. Rick was not an official band member during the making of the album, hence being listed with the smaller font size along with all the other extra players. Jules TH 16 (talk) 09:04, 12 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
