I figured I should maybe write a few words on here. I'm a semi-regular Wikipedia editor. I'm a bilingual German-American but spend far more time on the English Wikipedia since I perceive it as more significant and often more informative too.

My strength? I automatically memorize and synthesize a lot of information about topics that interest me. Those topics are mostly related to, but not restricted to: Music (blues, classic rock, progressive rock, new wave) and comics (mostly Disney).

My weakness? I usually find it very hard to find the sources of that information again. That's why you will find the odd sentence without references in my edits, but I'm working on getting better, and I can guarantee that I never added anything that to my knowledge was untrue or impossible to prove.

My pet peeve? Deleting articles that had been up for years and were moderately useful. Redirects are useless and Wikipedia should grow in quality, not decrease in quantity. Improve an article before you just throw it out with the bathwater. (Also, guidelines are not laws.)

My mission? I don't like false information. To the extent I not only removed a hoax from Wikipedia but also created a login on another site (which had simply copied the incorrect info from Wikipedia) in order to scrub it away. Sometimes I might also simply edit an article on a subject I'm not knowledgeable about because I'm very good at spotting typos and grammatical errors.
