Termination of a clinical trial edit
This section has been added by Sydnicans, been removed by a Merck-related IP and re-added by Sydnicans. Does anyone have any reliable sources? ClinicalTrials says the study is still ongoing. --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 07:59, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
The updated (April 1, 2009) ClinicalTrials page for this drug says that the trial is still going on and "recruiting participants". ClinicalTrials.gov is a "service of the US National Institutes of Health, providing "a registry of federally and privately supported clinical trials conducted in the United States and around the world". Therefore I think that the section on terminating the trial can be removed. Springhill40 (talk) 12:49, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
I disagree, the NIH's website is usually behind and they are not recruiting, nor continuing the study.. it may just say that because the people who's liver enzymes are elevated are still having to be monitored and not "totally" removed from the study, in a sence, yet.. as they still are looking at there levels.. but everyone else was told to stop all medications immediately. The termination of the study protocol is indicated and referenced on the NIH's web site.. therefore, wiki was changed to reflect this, with ref. Sydnicans (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:56, 4 May 2009 (UTC).

There seems to be some confusion regarding the telcagepant trialS, as in plural. According to ClinicalTrials.gov, there were two trials. One, for telcagepant co-administered with Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen was completed (the info was updated earlier this month April 2010) and another was terminated. You can see that both trials are for a drug coded MK0974, although in fact only the completed trial states the name "telcagepant". I'm not making any changes yet but I think that both trials should be mentioned here. Springhill40 (talk) 11:33, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
Agreed... While I have not worked on this page in a while, I think there are more studies that also need to be published with regard to wiki.
