Thanks. --Daniel C. Boyer 20:37, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

On the merge suggestion, i don't think they articles should be merged, as one refers to a person and another to a country. The separate articles are large enough articles on their own.Georgeg 16:39, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Number of inhabitants edit

Does anyone know any of how many people lived on this island, when it was a kingdom? Greswik 19:13, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Still independent?? edit

This article seem to state that this island is still independent, which is not. Please be serious and correct this--Gspinoza 21:25, 7 September 2007 (UTC).Reply

I don't think it has ever been independent. Just local folklore. The claim is based on the fact that the Sardinian King once visited the island and by that act recognized it's independence, which is a stark tale. Of course it was never annexed by Italy. It didn't need to be.Gerard von Hebel (talk) 23:47, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Address of the Prince of Tavolara????? edit

Wiki says that Prince Ernesto Geremia di Tavolara of La Spezia, Italy handles the external affairs of the kingdom. Does anybody know his exact address? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.1.18.241 (talk) 06:21, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Very dubious edit

This article appears to suggest that Tavolara is some kind of real independent state, the equivalent of, say, San Marino. I am dubious. john k (talk) 16:03, 25 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Of course, it isn't. Tavolara belongs to Olbia municipality, and it undergoes to the Sardinian and Italian law. The "owner" of Tavolara is called "King of Tavolara" from the time of the Kingdom of Italy, as explained on the article, but there is no independence. --Roberto Segnali all'Indiano 12:49, 29 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
But even before 1934 it wasn't actually an independent state. john k (talk) 12:59, 29 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
