Translating Tariq: Nouns and verbs
editThere's a sentence that says "[Tariq] is related to the Arabic verb (Arabic: طرق, ṭaraqa) meaning "Nocturnal visitor" or "Brightest Star.""
I don't speak Arabic, but a verb cannot mean two nouns. Maybe it's a noun in Arabic, or maybe it refers to some action. Google and Bing both translate the letters presented as "methods", a noun.
Someone with some knowledge of Arabic and English should look at this.

Yes, I've looked into it and fixed the "Tariq" page here in Wikipedia.
This is my own name, and I've done quite the research about it, having been a translator and having gone through Syrian high school that is the best in teaching original Arabic along with Egypt nowadays.
Honestly, this page is more in depth than the Arabic Wikipedia, the dictionaries, and any baby name website. Yay.
Please let me know if you think anything needs to be fixed or changed.
