Third album

edit

Re: "Unfortunately, the day before its release, their record label folded, leaving the album unreleased....":

Hmm....This is not the story I heard. I heard that the record wasn't released because the group broke up (after Phil Balsano quit) and thus would not be available to promote it. TheScotch (talk) 09:45, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

As it turns out, the external link already part of the article, http://www.glory-daze.com/readarticle.php?article_id=331, says this: "As has been recorded in history, Tantrum split on the eve of their third album circa 1980/81, which unfortunately never saw the light of day officially.".
I'm changing the article accordingly. TheScotch (talk) 08:34, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Track Listings

edit

Re: Binksternet: Band articles never have track listings.:

In the first place, I think you were obliged, in terms of sheer civility if nothing else, to refrain from deleting the track listings a second time until you had posted an argument on the talk page and tried to achieve consensus: So far it's two-to-one against your position. I and (presumably) the editor who originally put the listings in the article both disagree with you.

In the second place, "band articles never have track listings" doesn't sound like much of an argument to me. Whether they should have track listings would seem to me to depend on various circumstances, including how long the article is otherwise and whether the information is easily available elsewhere. This particular article as it currently reads is very short and, it seems to me, could use more information. Now it's true that technically the first two records currently have separate Wikipedia articles including track listings, but the third does not and the existence of the articles for the first two seem to me at this point fairly tenuous. As a Wikipedia reader, I would very much like to know what song titles are on the albums, and I don't see why I should be thwarted by some arbitrary rule seemingly pulled out of the ether.

(I don't want to give the impression this a huge deal for me or that I'm at all upset about this, but, for better or worse, that's my thought and feeling.) TheScotch (talk) 23:27, 10 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
