The tag says there are no references or sources. But how where would you get a reference or source for something you see everyday? If I took a photo and posted it, would that serve as a reference? Misterdoe 17:39, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

By all means do so, but I don't think that "counts" as a source. As you say, it isn't something that lends itself to citing sources, I think its appropriate to remove the tag.
All articles lend themselves to references. There is absolutely no article on Wikipedia that is exempt from being sourced. aliasd·U·T 08:39, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
What you just said was "it's convenient to do it because the rules say you have to." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.73.70.113 (talk) 04:12, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
See WP:SKYISBLUE. We're talking about a wholly uncontroversial fact not in any reasonable doubt. Elmo iscariot (talk) 14:23, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Both of the sources are now dead or unaccessible links, thus necessitating a revival of the "needs citation" tag for the whole page. --Ferrariguy90 (talk) 20:50, 9 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
I found a Creative Commons-licensed picture on Flickr this morning that may be of use to WP. I'm not sure of the proper protocols for uploading pictures to WP, however. http://www.flickr.com/photos/scottfidd/233453727/ --Ferrariguy90 (talk) 17:01, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Today's removal/revert edit

Today, User:Kingboyk removed a lot of content, and User:Dismas re-added it, although I didn't personally agree with the removal of content, I respected the reasons for removal, now, in the interests of preventing (god forbid you two would) an edit war between high-profile deletionists and inclusionists, lets just fight it out below this line like normal wikipedians. aliasd·U·T 13:11, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The concept of give a penny edit

I invented the concept of give a penny, it took me 7 years to get statements from the original 2 gas station workers only to find out that they don’t count. I’ve spent nearly $2000 trying to locate these people and a great deal more than that in time effort. I wish you read my story find it credible. In the mean time I will be going to my local paper and have it published. And maybe that will be a “reliable source” Long story short: I got back a bunch of Pennys cashier was out or other change I said leave them here let people use them, he put them in a cup a few days later it was still there I though it was neat so I did the same thing at mobile, I was a gas station hang around in my youth. I noticed it caught on after that year after year. Until finally the plastic trays came out which I don’t take credit for just the concept. Kldiamond3 (talk) 23:10, 24 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
