Copyright
editI believe the corensearchbot finding that the student oath is protected by copyright is incorrect. The Tae Kwon-Do student oath as noted on the web page [1] is common to most schools of Tae Kwon Do. While I'm not sure of the origin, I am confident it did not orginate with this particular school. Therefore I believe it to be in the public domain, not subject to a copyright. I plan to remove the restriction, but of course am open to better information on this subject. - No problem. I dealt with it. :) — madman bum and angel 14:58, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Nomination for deletion
editI think this page should be deleted or at least rewritten. Taekwondo student oaths, much like Taekwondo belt systems, one step sparrings and kicking combinations vary from school to school. -ColdRedRain (talk) 18:39, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- I completely agree. This article should be deleted or expanded to a general article about TKD oaths and their histories. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.204.174.54 (talk) 21:38, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
- I agree. My taekwondo school has no such oath, nor do we recite "tenets" of taekwondo. Instead we recite three "rules" of taekwondo at the end of class. I added fact tags to the assertions that rituals described are "common" or "general". I would like to give the original author plenty of time to re-write the page. The most appropriate thing to do might be to write a page about the school or schools being described. --ErinHowarth (talk) 02:53, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
