Energy or momentum edit

It should be noted that kinetic energy is NOT = (mass x velocity). Xxanthippe (talk) 11:13, 7 August 2013 (UTC).Reply

As Xxanthippe pointed out, mass x velocity = momentum, whereas kinetic energy = ½mv² (half mass x velocity squared) - but the motion is rotational and not linear. The maths can be found here http://www.mathscareers.org.uk/viewItem.cfm?cit_id=383274. Splinge (talk) 03:33, 25 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Indeed. I just substituted the phrase "forward momentum" in place of "kinetic energy". --BlueMoonlet (t/c) 00:45, 26 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

What about bowling? edit

Several years ago, on Jeopardy! game show, Alex Trebek announced that no less an expert than Dick Weber termed "sweet spot" a good answer to a particular question which involved bowling. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.47 (talk) 19:38, 13 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
