On the renaming...
editThe page was PROD and considered a potential hoax. I looked into it, and "Sanctuary Island" almost certainly referred to an island just east of Strawberry Landing and E Strawberry Drive [1]. A google search for "Strawberry Landing" seals turned up a number of references to a strawberry spit, which was a seal haul-out in the 70s and before, was threatened by development, and as a result was severed from the mainland (although still referred to as "Strawberry Spit" in academic papers). It may also go by the name of Sanctuary Island, but I couldn't find any evidence for that so I moved it. Coanda-1910 (talk) 21:54, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Now named Aramburu Island?
editI believe this small body of land has been renamed Aramburu Island and is now part of the Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary. Will edit when I have sufficient references. Juliannechat (talk) 03:50, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
