I'm not sure what the evidence is for De Jarnatt's being born in 1960 as per the infobox. I haven't seen a definitive date of birth anywhere, but the TDN profile says he was aged 55 in December 2006, which suggests 1951 or late 1950; it also says he graduated high school in 1970, which seems consistent with the earlier dates, as does the date of 1972 for his first film (the short Tarzana) on his IMDB page. (Note also that, although it seems fairly certain he grew up in Longview and I've added that to the article, his mother's obituary indicates that his parents only moved there, presumably from Iowa, in 1953, so his place of birth is still uncertain.) Sorry for replying to myself, but I've since come across a couple of sites that shed a little more light on the matter. According to this page, De Jarnatt was born in Colorado, in "a little town just across the [Nebraska] border." (This isn't inconsistent with the obituary for Donna De Jarnatt that I linked to above, which says she taught at Cornell College "during the early years of her marriage"—presumably the family could have moved from Iowa to Colorado by the time Steve was born, then gone on to Longview in 1953.) Given that it's a blog, however, the source may not qualify as reliable. As for his year of birth, this article says Steve was 12 in July 1964, which suggests he was born in the second half of 1951 or the first half of 1952. Also, this page indicates he graduated from Evergreen State in 1974, which is consistent with high school graduation in 1970 (though clearly some of the intervening time was spent at Occidental and some at Evergreen State) and suggests he was born earlier than 1960. (Incidentally, the IMDB date of 1972 for Tarzana appears suspect, and other sources suggest 1978, but I'm not sure they're any more reliable.) I think there's enough evidence to tag the year of birth with "citation needed" for the moment. I also intend to try and work some of the details from the above sources into the article.
