I believe that Solar Cycle 5 had the lowest (not second-lowest) maximum of any numbered sunspot cycle. So is the implied reference (to another cycle with an even lower maximum) referring to the unnumbered cycles during the Maunder Minimum? NCdave (talk) 20:40, 5 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Solar cycle 6 had a max of 81.2 which was lower than SC5. I've added in a link for clarification. Primefac (talk) 20:42, 5 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. That's interesting, because the "400 years" graph shows SC6 peaking quite a bit higher than SC5.

Sunspot changes

Changing topics... I think the v.1 to v.2 sunspot number change made by Jan Janssens (STCE) on 24 May 2017 needs some explanation. I propose changing the Solar Cycle articles to make it clear which version is which. Please discuss it here:
