Nomination for Deletion

edit

This page was marked for deletion on 11 December 2012 by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:OlYeller21.

I strongly object to the deletion of this page. It is by no means an advertising and does by no means reflect what is described by Wikipedia as WP:OR

"The term "original research" (OR) is used on Wikipedia to refer to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist.[1] This includes any analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to advance a position not advanced by the sources. To demonstrate that you are not adding OR, you must be able to cite reliable, published sources that are directly related to the topic of the article, and directly support the material being presented."

There is nothing here that would not be fact, there are plenty of references. "Social Localisation" will get you 6,600 hits in Google, for an emerging field quite respectable.

There are thousands of people involved in "Social Localisation" and the communities are growing -- as will this wikipedia article. In fact, there is a large community involved in the translation of wikipedia and wikimedia content itself - something that Wikimedia and the Wikipedia editors surely support.

Although there is a link in the email I received to contact the editor, this only gets me to a page with lots of medals??? I would love to find out more about the reasons why the editor felt the page should be deleted but am not sure how to contact him/her? Are there any concrete items that are wrong or not well represented, any items that should be improved?
