Spoilers edit

It would be nice if we waited to post those who are eliminated. Tonight, I checked the site half way through the elimination show, and the the two who were eliminated were listed. Before it was announced. Spoiled the show for us... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pnadon (talkcontribs)

Filming Location edit

Anyone know where are they filming the show? 99.230.102.104 (talk) 01:13, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Toronto.

Nitpick edit

Chart. edit

What sort of order is that chart in? It should be in alphabetical, regardless of gender.--Cinemaniac86Oy_gevalt. 15:42, 7 November 2008 (UTC) Which chart??User talk:TahuttonReply

-it was originally by couples, but that has since changed. So now I think it should be alphabetical or by number of times facing elimination sorted from fewest to most. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.71.46.199 (talk) 21:34, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The elimination chart, of course, haha.
That's an interesting idea, actually. But that order didn't fly over on the American Idol page, as it was not "encyclopedic". The most effective manner is alphabetical by last name. Still, I (personally) appreciate thinking outside of the box.--Cinemaniac86Oy_gevalt. 09:19, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
It just makes sense to me to sort the current contestants by number of times facing elimination as that is how the chart will be sorted when the season is over, and how the current eliminated contestants are sorted. but the show will be over anyways so it doesn't matter.
It makes no sense to me. Why should Arassay be above Lisa, even though Arassay was NEVER in the Bottom before her elimination, while Lisa was in the Bottom on a number of occasions prior to her being axed. Lisa outlasted Arassay, and therefore should be higher than her irregardless. That is how the chart is and always will be.--Cinemaniac86Oy_gevalt. 05:30, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Also, please sign your comments. Thank you!--Cinemaniac86Oy_gevalt. 05:31, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
the CURRENT (yet to be eliminated) contestants by times facing elimination, lisa would be above arrasy cause she made it further. for eliminated contestants it doesn't matter how many times they faced elimination but when they actually were eliminated. - Mariokarter —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.24.169.251 (talk) 18:38, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Accuracy of Results and Names of Contestants edit

This is meant to be a source of accurate information. Please ensure results are accurately reported based on events and not opinions. In addition, removing the real name of contestants is disrespectful and inaccurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tahutton (talkcontribs) 04:33, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Song Title? edit

Hey, Does anyone know the name of the song that Vincent danced his solo to on the November 29th show?? They almost always list them but not last night. Thanks! ljessup —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ljessup (talkcontribs) 17:07, 21 November 2008 (UTC) "Missin' You" - Trey Songz Tahutton (talk) 02:45, 22 November 2008 (UTC)TahuttonTahutton (talk) 02:45, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tiring edit

PLEASE stop changing the elimination table and weekly results... they are NOT accurate when they are being switched and information (like the songs that people danced to) is getting erased. Tahutton (talk) 23:59, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Elimination Chart edit

With people playing around with trying to eliminate contestants that haven't been eliminated, the elimination chart has inaccurate information in the earlier weeks about who is in the bottom and who isn't. Anyone care to work on that? I am terrible with charts. Tahutton (talk) 00:09, 23 November 2008 (UTC) Got it figured!! Tahutton (talk) 00:52, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bottom Four Dancers edit

For the individuals vandalizing this page, who wonder why good dancers wind up in the bottom four, it is purely Canada's vote and has nothing to do with the judges. Please stop switching results to what you want them to be and not to what they are. Your opinion is not an accurate depiction of what is happening on the show and is causing work for people that needs to be done over and over. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tahutton (talkcontribs) 14:53, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

In addition to the above (completely siding with you, fyi), quit adding assumed information to the chart. Just because a dancer was told they were safe first does NOT make them the top vote-getter. So don't assume the other safe dancer of each gender was in the Bottom 4, when there are no concrete facts to support this.--Cinemaniac86Oy_gevalt. 05:34, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
I have to admit, I am glad this show is done because continuously editing irrelevant information and readding deleted information is quite tiring... off to research information I hadn't saved! Tahutton (talk) 04:04, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well see, on the US version, during the top 6 elimination, Cat announced that the first name she calls did not nesessarily get the most votes but is moving on into the top 4, right, but Leah didn't say that, which to me seems like its the two people who were safe first who got the most votes, you know what I'm saying, Cat announced it, Leah didn't, I'm just saying.

Very true, I agree with the above one because Nico is soo awesome and was definitely not in the bottom. HAHA Miles, Natali, and Allie, Nico kicked your asses! (and he won) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.17.75.192 (talk) 03:06, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

How did you know that he won? Your post was up before the finale aired. So how? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.17.75.192 (talk) 05:06, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, maybe the results leaked out a bit, because it was 4 days between Wednesday when they voted and the Finale which is kinda long, or maybe it was just a very confident guess, I know that I knew he was going to win just because he was the only one NEVER to be in the bottom, and because all those teenage girls LOVE him.

No, the result weren't leaked to me, but your other guess is right. I never knew for sure that he won, but my guess was VERY confident. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.17.75.192 (talk) 21:12, 9 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I checked on the U.S. version, and the winners were never in the bottom. Except in season three, Sabra was in the bottom once. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.17.75.192 (talk) 21:14, 9 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Criteria for succeeding in the original audition edit

If there are references for it, I think it would be good to include the criteria for auditioning, such as the age requirement. 206.116.59.48 (talk) 23:37, 8 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think this information is worth adding even if a cite-able source outside the show itself can't be found. If the show itself has referenced the permissible age range of auditioners often enough, surely that's sufficient? 69.105.10.2 (talk) 19:33, 21 June 2011 (UTC) -SnowReply
