Pronunciation

edit

How is "poorism" pronounced? Ewlyahoocom 06:56, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I assume that it is intended to rhyme with tourism, not pour-ism. Ponydepression (talk) 19:26, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Supporting Apartheid

edit

Under the history section it is said, "It then attracted international tourists that wanted to support** and learn more about apartheid." This cannot be correct. People wanted to come and visit "slum areas" to support apartheid? Or am I just not understanding the context. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Luke engel (talkcontribs) 12:07, 5 May 2011

same here. that cant be correct--62.154.195.115 (talk) 09:05, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

While there are distinctions that can be drawn between slums and ghettoes, the idea of tourism that visits impoverished areas is really the same idea. BDD (talk) 18:30, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
