Former members edit

I am part way through expanding this article. The "former members" section includes Andrew Watson, Steven Cummins and Daniel Barnett, but I can't find any reference to them in news articles or the (very sparse) album liner notes. Can anyone confirm if and when these guys were in the band and what instruments they played? I suspect they may have been musicians who played live with the band or contributed to their albums rather than bona fide band members. Can anyone also confirm the current lineup of the band as listed? The publicity photos on their Facebook page show six members, not five as listed here. As you can see I've been having a go at the article too. I haven't found any mention of those three 'former members'. Article history shows they were added way back in February 2012 as a single edit by IP user. I support your removal until a better source shows their membership.
As for FB photo: I can't help with who the 6 are.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 23:39, 24 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Possible former official website: here may help. Hover over the names to highlight named individual.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 01:33, 25 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Searles is listed as a past member, but there is nothing in the article to say that he left. Del Larkin did leave, but is now listed as a current member. I notice that you changed the status of the band from present tense to past tense, but confusingly you say they are/were active in 2014. If they are a former band they are no longer active and in that case the entire list of band members goes into "past members" (see The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Divinyls). It seems to me that if they are still playing, they still exist. BlackCab (TALK) 02:03, 25 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
As far as I can tell the reunions since 2009 have not resulted in any newly recorded material, they have been short-term tours or periodic single performance gigs at festivals et al. In 2014 the Bluesfest performance was during Easter (19 April) and they are scheduled to appear in November at Queenscliff. I can't find any evidence of activity in between these appearances: hence as of September 2014 they are inactive. My opinion is that although they are periodically active: on balance they are largely inactive. If you feel that the current arrangement constitutes an 'active' band then change it back: I won't argue against such an interpretation.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 06:22, 25 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Established edit

I would agree that musical groups are organizations that are established, as organization typically means "an organized body of people with a particular purpose, especially a business, society, association, etc." (came up when I googled it). Musical groups are an organized body of people with the purpose of performing music. A discussion of this subject in general can be found at Category talk:Establishments. 331dot (talk) 13:16, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

OK, it's not something I'll contest. I've read the discussion you linked (and thanks for the link); I think the whole category system on Wikipedia is out of control and in many cases serves no purpose anyway. BlackCab (TALK) 22:33, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
