Changes made to this wikipedia page, yesterday

I had made some changes to the Wikipedia page, yesterday. The changes have not been accepted. I apologise for my actions if they violate your regulations.

I had entered the names of the present editors and deleted the names of the previous editors. I had described the journal's discipline and enlarged it beyond the 'computer simulation' which was incomplete. I described the scope of the journal, Simulation & Gaming, as was shown on the journal's webpage of SAGE publications.

I am a member of ISAGA (since 2004) which publishes the journal, Simulation & Gaming. I am an associate editor of the journal. SAGE has permitted me to make these changes on the Wikipedia page of the journal.

The copyvio detector alleges that these changes violate copyrights. Could you please explain to me the reasons for the reversions and describe the copyright violations when my inputs are sourced from authentic and authorised citations? Please advise me on how to update the page with current information.

Hello, I was the editor who reverted your changes and a copyright clerk removed them from the page history. There are a couple of things going on here that can be overwhelming for someone who is new to Wikipedia.

The crux of the problem is that you copy/pasted copyrighted material from your publishing website. That needs formal permission. An editor cannot presume that it's OK. From the way you described yourself you appear to be an employee of ISAGA. Therefore ISAGA, not you personally, holds copyright to the website content. You will need to have the responsible person at ISAGA authorize its use on Wikipedia. This page will go into detail: WP:PERMISSIONS. Alternatively, you can substantially re-write the same information in your own words so that it avoids close paraphrasing. When I looked at the revised article entire sentences had been copied verbatim.

Second, your association with ISAGA presents a Conflict of Interest and possibly paid editing. In these cases the editor may have difficulty maintaining a neutral tone. There is also the potential to use Wikipedia for advertising, spamming, and promotion. Those who don't edit in any other areas tend not to be familiar with notability standards, neutral point of view, and what constitutes a reliable independent source. I hasten to assure you that I am NOT an employee of ISAGA, which is a professional association without any employees. I have no pecuniary or business interest in these proposed changes. I am keen that the Wikipedia page must show correct information instead of the older, incomplete and invalid content.

If it is possible, please accept and make these changes on the page: 1. Please show Toshiko Kikkawa and Marlies Schijvenname [in this order in both places on the page] as the co-editors [Reference: https://journals.sagepub.com/editorial-board/SAG]. 2. 'of computer simulation and gaming, including virtual reality, serious games and educational games': please add 'simulation, active and experiential learning, and case studies' within this passage [1]
