Merge
edit- It is one of six styles of one of eleven disciplines that were part of the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai.
It might have made sense to merge this into an article on the karate discipline. Another candidate would be for this article to be merged into Yasuhiro Konishi (its founder). But merging into DNBK is just silly, and I find it comical that the AfD produced such a conclusion despite no argument ever being given in favour of it. At any rate, the present incarnation of the article is not the stub that was considered in that discussion, so does anyone have comments where to go from here?
It does seem to me that a few parts of the current content describe the general history of karate (rather than being specific to this style) with a completeness that the karate article lacks and would benefit more from. I think that the historical detail of this specific style is worthwhile to present somewhere on WP but that we should settle whether it belongs more here or on the founder's article. As for the lists of technique names, they may flesh out this article but I think they contribute nothing (except possibly to the few readers who practice this style). I have heard that either the founder or the current headmaster was/is a Shihan of the Yagyu Shingan ryu Heiho. Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.212.120.156 (talk) 01:15, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
