There's a quote in Anthology (from 1971. The original source I am unaware of.)

The funny thing about the camp was that although it was very beautiful and I was meditating about eight hours a day, I was writing the most miserable songs on earth. In 'Yer Blues', when I wront, 'I'm so lonely I want to die,' I'm not kidding. That's how I felt.

I am currently not able to find a way to integrate this into the article, but if others can find it useful I'm glad. Another thing, according to Ringo you can't top Yer Blues

And 'Yer Blues' on the 'White' album, you can't top it.

The story of the Maharishi making a pass at a woman in their group has been refuted many times. Apparently Mia Farrow, whose sister was there at the ashram (the Beatles' song "Dear Prudence" is about her) claims that the story is false. This should be talked about in this entry.

Of course it's false. The incident was about Prudence, not Mia.
And even if he had, so what? Maharishis arent allowed to have libidos?

"This Boy" and "I've Been Good to You" edit

In the article is a claim that the chord structure of "This Boy" is copied from "I've Been Good to You." In fact, that chord structure is one of the most oft-used, even trite, structures used in the popular music of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Is there some other reason (evidence?) to believe that there is actually a direct connection as stated in the article? If not, I will delete that remark. Fair use rationale for Image:The White Album.jpg edit

Image:The White Album.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Credits edit

I changed this section according to Lewishon. The harmonium was used in early takes of the song, not in the finished version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.40.0.34 (talk) 17:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Jet (The band, not the Macca song) edit

Their song Look What You've Done, has the lines;

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Does anybody have evidence it was Beatles or Smokey influenced? Bevo74 (talk) 08:16, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sexy Sadie (song)Sexy Sadie — This page is the clear primary topic. There is only one other page with the name "Sexy Sadie" and it's about a minor Spanish band who are named after the song. McLerristarr (talk) 10:55, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I agree. This article is clearly the main use of the name.   Will Beback  talk  11:01, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. I would have said uncontroversial, but obviously someone wanted to disambiguate in this way, so best to go through the process. We'll have a hatnote to the three-way DAB at Sexy Sadie (disambiguation) of course. Andrewa (talk) 20:41, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per WP:PT. Last month this article got almost 20 times the pageviews of the band's. Station1 (talk) 07:24, 21 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
