== Issue regarding veracity ==

I noticed this when looking through random articles:

Justice Brennan was joined by three other justices in asserting that the Eleventh Amendment was nothing more than a reflection of common law sovereignty that could be swept aside by Congress; Justice Scalia was also joined by three other justices in taking the opposite view; and Justice White wrote a separate opinion holding that Congress had such power, but stating his disagreement with Brennan's opinion (but not his own rationale).

While there was a Justice White on the Court, it was in the early 20th century, and certainly not during this time. --Casey (talk) 16:57, 14 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Two Justices White have served on the Supreme Court: Edward Douglas White and Byron White. This article is referencing Byron White, who served from 1962-1993. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Justices_of_the_Supreme_Court_of_the_United_States

I'm looking at doing a rewrite of this article with a view at bringing it to a featured article status, but if I do, I'll want to switch the citation system from the current system to Bluebook.
