Oregon flag?
editDoesn't the Oregon flag have two separate images, one on each side of the flag? It seems appropriate to post both the front and back of the flag. Liz Read! Talk! 21:00, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
- Both are at Flags of the U.S. states. However, it looks like only the design on the obverse of the flag is really the state seal. Q·L·1968 ☿ 22:47, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
Scutcheons not coats of arms?
editI notice that the seals illustrated for the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, and Idaho all depict scutcheons with various devices (some with mottoes and other paraphernalia), but these don't appear in the coat of arms column. Is there a reason for considering these not to be the coats of arms of their respective states? Q·L·1968 ☿ 22:47, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

Merger proposal
editI propose to merge List of U.S. state, district, and territorial seals into this article. The article "List of U.S. state, district, and territorial seals" is redundant. That article only lists the seals, in a long list. This article nicely lays out flags, seals, and coat of arms of each state/territory/district in a table. It would be much easier to simply merge that article into this one, as there is very little information in the former that is not in the latter. All that would need to be done is for historical seals to be added to this page.
- Support as duplicate. Reywas92Talk 18:15, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
- Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 16:29, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
