Talk:Saroléa

This article needs alot of tweeking, especially with a timeline. Paragraprh atarting "In the early years of the century", should that be bumped up before talk of hill climbs in the 20's? Then "Saroléa was ready for the new decade". What decade? It would also be good to include any total numbers built. Also a mention and link to a Pawn Stars episode, where a Sarolea was described as ultra-rare, and possibly not worth restoring because of the rarity of parts.Flight Risk (talk) 21:28, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Article layout edit

I arrived here having seen the uncomplimentary summary comments from TV commentators, ex-racers James Whitham and Steve Parrish at the TT startline on the day the bikes were wheeled away (June 2016). The recent images were attributed to a professional photographer whose online presences establish association with the manufacturer; at the same time the article layout was altered to unduly promote the present name-owners with unreferenced content.

I've restored the traditional, chronological layout with a small lede, and shifted the content I cited to another heading for motorsport, allowing clarity for any future article development.

The unverified performance claims have been archived to the history; as these are protoypes the figures are largely irrelevant anyways. The TT race data and final results are produced electronically using on-bike transponders with sector timing, converting distance into speed which is relevant as is directly comparable to other race-participants.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 12:18, 16 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
