This ship is a bit of a mystery, because it doesn't show up in the normal lists of White Star liners. Everyone references the first four that the post-Ismay carrier built, with the two follow-ons, but this small gal doesn't seem to fit. Also curious is the fact that it wasn't built by Harland and Wolff, who was supposed to have the exclusive contract to provide ships to White Star...maybe it was a temporary fill-in until the newer ships were delivered??
