Attention all current and potential JHU students: this guy is great. CS majors, if you can possibly swing it, get him as an advisor - despite being extremely smart and accomplished (and probably having grander things to do than counsel undergraduates), he will sit down and really work with you on which classes to take to achieve your goals.
If you're only going to take one second year CS class, take his. His accent is a bit difficult to understand at first, but once you're used to it (give it a week or two), he's a very good lecturer.

I agree with the guy above. This guy is great. He's really flexible, and really wants to help you. If you get a chance, take his class. The first part is fairly easy, but it gets challenging for everyone towards the end. Rumor has it that he will not fail anyone and the lowest grade you can get is a C- as long as you attempt the homework and the exams. Also, you take his oral exam if you're not satisfied with your grade. If you do better, your grade goes up to the oral exam grade. If you do worse, you stick with your old grade.
