Local airport info edit
I added the information about the local airport basing upon the work of our Swedish sister team : https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sälen_Trysil_Airport . But how to make a proper reference in the article? Jan olieslagers (talk) 20:36, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hi. To insert a reference (footnote), you must first have a valid source (a newspaper article or similar). Then you may follow the instruction here on how to insert the source as a footnote. If the source is online, you should hyperlink it; but off-line sources (like books) are also valid and then you just write the source without hyperlinking. If you are new at this it may be a bit of try and fail, before you get it, but it's easy once you get used to it. Iselilja (talk) 22:07, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for thinking along. I am afraid I did not word my question clearly enough: refererencing an external source is easy and clear, with < ref > < / ref > tags. However I have been repeatedly told that another wikipedia page is not an external reference and should not be mentioned in this way. - There isn't one. Per WP:Circular "Do not use articles from Wikipedia as sources. Also, do not use websites that mirror Wikipedia content or publications that rely on material from Wikipedia as sources."...William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 12:22, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
