Why is 90% of this article about the dissenting opinon?
editEight judges agree and there is nothing about their opinion? One judge dissents and most of the article is exclusively about that? Talk about fair and balanced. -- 212.63.43.180 (talk) 11:37, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- The dissenting opinion is notable because Justice Byron White had been a football player. The NFL named an award for him Byron "Whizzer" White NFL Man of the Year Award which McCrary eventually won in 2001. Rhadow (talk) 14:09, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
Two parties, only one mentioned (briefly)
editThis legal case involed two parties: 1) Runyon and 2) McCrary.
Apparently McCrary was a potential student who had been denied entry to a university, from what I can tell.
Who the frig is Runyon?
Both these people should be mentioned in the article - preferably in the lede! --98.122.20.56 (talk) 19:08, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

- The case is named for Russell and Katheryne Runyon d.b.a. Bobbe's School. Bobbe's and Fairfax-Brewster were private schools, not colleges. I added text to the article. In a Supreme Court case, the identity of the petitioners and their backstories are not of the greatest import. Rhadow (talk) 11:10, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
