Merge? edit

I feel Roxxon should be merged with Roxxon Oil. Dr Archeville 12:10, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Discussion edit

  • They're both pretty much stubs right now and could use one another to flesh out one article. --Newt ΨΦ 15:45, 20 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Royal Dutch/Shell edit

It seems like it might be a portmanteau of Royal Dutch and Exxon.--Marhawkman 06:06, 2 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I like your theory; I wouldn't have thought of it. That seems quite possible. Naturally, you would have to find a verifiable source for this before it could go into the article. Still, good thinking! --GentlemanGhost 12:59, 2 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I was reading about the stuff used in the Amalgam comics. It suddenly occured to me that if most of the character names are portmanteaus, then the organizations might be too. But that's all the evidence I have.--Marhawkman 17:44, 2 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Article Name edit

I feel that "Roxxon Energy Corporation" is too new given the length of time the company has existed, and that "Roxxon Oil" is much more familiar. However, to prevent conflict on this, I think the article should be just simply called "Roxxon" (as it is often referred to in the comics) and moved over the redirect. Hey, sorry, that was my bad. But to be honest, I don't mind either way what the article is called. I just renamed it to be "current", although I've only known it as Roxxon. StarSpangledKiwi (talk) 19:18, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Agreed, I've also known it more as just "Roxxon" more than anything else, which is why I suggested that. Let's see what some other people think and then make a decision. BOZ (talk) 05:34, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I say Roxxon is a better name too. Roxxon varies widely in how it is portrayed in comics. Mostly they're an oil company, generally they just serve as faceless evil corporation when needed. --William Graham talk 06:48, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Enron edit

IIRC, a recent Marvel comic says that Enron, which is a real life scandal ridden company is, in the Marvel Universe, a subsidiary of Roxxon. Should be inserted if a ref can be found. Lots42 (talk) 03:28, 25 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
