As for the heroine/cocaine controversy. The following is mentioned on the AWB discussion page:

Source of said information was from an AWB CD inlay. "Their celebrations however are overshadowed with the death of McIntosh from a strychnine-based heroin overdose, when he believes he is snorting cocaine. Gorrie's is saved by alertness of Cher, who keeps him conscious until medical help arrives" - from the notes to Above Average, a 1996 best-of compilation on Castle Communications plc.

This both clarifies the reason behind this controversy and the fact that he indeed died of heroine, not cocaine. I have corrected the article accordingly. 201.12.102.251 (talk) 18:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

There was a statement, made by Gorrie in 1976, that McIntosh was actually poisoned at a Hollywood (notably at Cher's house) and that his death was not due to an heroine overdose. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.115.108.102 (talk) 19:37, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
