Rites of Eleusis (Crowley) vs Rites of Eleusis edit

Any reason why Crowley's name has to be in the title? I'm about to move it back to Rites of Eleusis, and I also found that my reference says this event took place in 1909. What source is being used for the information? SynergeticMaggot (talk) 18:59, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think the primary reason for having Crowley's name at the top is that he was the author of these specific "Rites of Eleusis" and not the traditional Rites of Eleusis of antiquity. This is a stage play he wrote.

Also, these performances were presented in OCt and Nov 1910, not 1909. Their are multiple sources for the 1910 date including Crowley's Equinox, the original published text of the Rites themselves, and various papers written on the subject published by the University of Wales, MIT Press, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.12.208.173 (talk) 01:00, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is not a novel but may qualify as a play or other theater piece. It does not meet any of the standard rules as a novel - word length, form, etc
