Hey everyone,

I am the author of the article in question. The article has been highlighted for deletion for not being notable, being promotional, and not having reliable sources.

Please assist me. I figured that Yahoo Finance was a reliable source to show that the company has significant and profitable operations, but if Wikipedia does not consider Yahoo a reputable source, sourcing elsewhere is perfectly acceptable.

As far as notability goes, the Wikipedia corporations guideline would seem to indicate that most public corporations are inherently notable, and Rio Alto in particular is much larger in both market capitalization and net income than many other sector competitors that also have Wikipedia articles. So, I think notability is clearly established.

In regard to the promotional claim against the article, I thought I wrote in a neutral and balanced tone, but please advise me how the article can be improved to meet Wikipedia's standards. Much thanks. Again, this is my first article here, and I am seeking to understand and learn about how to write for this website.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.229.242.92 (talk)
