In the book Film Facts (New York: Billboard Books, 2001), author Patrick Robertson calls Richard Mulligan "mentally handicapped [p.102]," which I have not seen anywhere else. I found this line in the death section odd "Mulligan was also survived by special friends and Empty Nest costars Dinah Manoff and Kristy McNichol and David Leisure and Park Overall."
Do we know they were special friends? What qualified them as special friends. No notation or source quoted. Did he not have special friends from SOAP? Should his friends even be listed? 2603:7000:BE00:4B:69C8:16E4:E45B:EF63 (talk) 18:47, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
