Should current news reports be included? edit

I'm concerned about respecting the WP policy reported here. Given this policy, is it appropriate for us to be including recent news stories about Richard Delong? I have never encountered a situation like this before on WP and would appreciate advice from editors who are experienced with the BLP policy. Opus33 (talk) 22:50, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I am not experienced with the BLP policy; in fact have not worked on Wikipedia articles in awhile. But I read the policy at your link and my understanding is that this is a person notable for his relationship to Sacred Harp singing and this recent news story would not meet the criteria for inclusion.
