Over the top edit

In particular, the song "I Used to Love H.E.R", a clever explanation of the history of hip-hop, is considered one of the best hip-hop songs ever.

Not every song can be the greatest ever, as much as we want them to be. Resurrection did not achieve much commercial success, and as I understand it it did not receive amazing critical acclaim either. Common is a very well-respected fixture of alternative hip-hop, but I don't think the above statement is justified. Find a source? Garrettcobb 12:33, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Obviously a statement of "considered one of the best hip-hop songs ever" is just a opinion. No matter if a million people say the same thing doesn't make it true. I like the song very much, but I prefer "Resurrection", "Book of Life" and "Orange Pineapple Juice" from this '94 classic.--Tainted Drifter 03:16, 23 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Track listing edit

I've reformatted the track listing to include track length and include instances in which other tracks were sampled.--NPswimdude500 20:07, 24 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Common - Resurrection.jpg edit

Image:Common - Resurrection.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Wrong sale numbers edit

The article states that the album sold "2,000 copies." I believe this is the number of copies sold in the first week. The total sales exceed 250,000 according to an article in XXL Magazine. There is a similar mistake on the article on Can I Borrow a Dollar. If someone can find a good source for these numbers, the mistake should be corrected. 62.167.100.155 (talk) 16:20, 26 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
