Merge proposal edit

I think Hope of Korea and New Future Party (South Korea) should be merged into this article. The rationale for this is quite simple: Hope of Korea existed for barely half a year before the merger, and the New Future Party less than a month. Neither existed during or participated in an election, nor are either known to be related to any events or other things of note. Simply put, these two short-lived parties dont seem like they are notable enough to warrant separate articles, with the merger into the New Reform Party being about the most relevant thing either have done! Sure. I don't see why they shouldn't, as the parties that merged into it existed for a certain amount of time, and don't have any significant history to warrant remaining as pages. ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 13:52, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Currently, the legal process has not been finalized. Furthermore, the New Future Party is showing signs of boycotting the rally, citing JunSeok Lee's reneging on the agreement. Bwiki01 (talk) 13:15, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well, they've split now, so there is not need for this debate to continue :) ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 15:45, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
While the New Future Party reneiged on their merger, the proposal to merge the article for Hope of Korea into this one still stands! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 02:28, 24 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't seem to be any opposition to merging Hope of Korea into this article, though as this is my first time proposing a merger, I dont quite know how to close this. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 21:37, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Number 57:, he might be able to help :) ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 22:01, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Merger proposals aren't so formal, so if it appears discussion has reached agreement on the talk page, then go for it. Given New Future reneged on the merger, it looks like New Reform Party is effectively just a renamed Hope of Korea? Number 57 22:04, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not really, as the founder of Hope for Korea merged her party into New Reform, as New Reform was created after HofK was created. ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 22:06, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ah ok – then TBH I'd keep Hope of Korea as a separate article. Sorry, based on the discussion I assumed that this party was created by a merger of the other two. Number 57 22:24, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I suppose it would be best to keep the article, as there was controversy with the logo, as it was similar to another party that merged into the DPK. ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 22:31, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I dont think the issue with the logo is relevant enough on its own, and it is about the most relevant thing that happened in the half a year the party existed. I'd say that if it isn't merged, it might as well just be deleted. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 23:26, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
