WP seems to be violating their own NPOV here. A search for "redskins" should go to this disambiguation page the same as any other search on a word with several meanings. I am part Native American, so the word is a racial slur to me, and anyone doing a truly encyclopedic search should be confronted with that fact. Redskin means skinning someone as a trophy, not just a football team. Is WP based on popular opinion or valid research? If so, the article on evolution would contain creationism nonsense. I just came across this page because I was sure that WP would have it redirected to the Washington Redskins page and sometimes I'm lazy in my typing of page titles. Why the heck would this redirect to some band nobody's ever heard of? Since when did "closest name" become a criteria for WP redirects (instead of most likely intention or most widely used)? I could buy this going to the DAB page, but some trashy band that doesn't even exist anymore??? Come on. I'll change it in a couple of days if no objection here. -Jcbarr 19:10, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Redskins → Redskins (disambiguation) — The NFL team is clearly by far the most likely target for "Redskins" and Redskins should redirect to that article. Going by article traffic statistics for August 2009 at http://stats.grok.se, Washington Redskins had over eleven times as many views (63,249) as the other five articles on this page combined (5,511).
