I would argue that a page on Red Stars Theory is warranted, given that it is a side project of combining members of popular and important Northwest bands such as Modest Mouse, Built To Spill, 764-HERO, Lois, FCS North & Stagger Lee with several releases on "major indie" labels like Touch & Go (including two full-length albums), but that this version that is stnading should be deleted as it is a copy & paste from another site.

"Red Stars Theory were formed in early '95 when James Bertram was looking for someone to play guitar with and found Tonie Palmasani, Jeremiah Green and Jason Talley. They got together, found that something just clicked, and put out first a 10 inch on Deluxe and then a 7 inch and LP on RX Remedy. Seth Warren was asked to play violin on the album and has been a full time member of the group ever since. Red Stars Theory has so far been a slow moving band because of the other musical projects they are involved in. Jeremiah has been in Modest Mouse the whole time Red Stars Theory have been a band, while James has played in Built To Spill and was in 764-HERO until they broke up in 2002. When the band do manage to get together they try to always try to make as much music as possible.

Life In A Bubble... is the group's debut record for Touch And Go. The seven songs here are mellower and less aggressive than you may have heard previously, but are no less emotionally charged."

Red Stars Theory has so far been a slow moving band because of the other musical projects they are involved in. Jeremiah has been in Modest Mouse the whole time Red Stars Theory have been a band, while James has played in Built To Spill and is currently in 764-HERO. When the band do manage to get together they try to always try to make as much music as possible.

Life In A Bubble... is the group's debut record for Touch And Go. The seven songs here are mellower and less aggressive than you may have heard previously, but are no less emotionally charged. Its dream-like melodies, awash in layers of sound, find vocals drifting in almost subconsciously as each song gracefully unfolds. Delicately fragile guitar interplay either drifts hypnotically by or gives way to passages of more dynamic rock. A 'quiet/loud' sound that recalls Labradford with more guitars, Red House Painters without the misery or Mogwai if they were only a) not Scottish and b) good. Red Stars Theory fortunately are both of these. Life In A Bubble... is quietly beautiful...just listen.
