Production edit

"Produced by Henry Lewy, the album was a return to Cohen's acoustic folk music after the Phil Spector experimentation of Death of a Ladies' Man."

Was this also a return to direct master recording, i.e. without multitracking.

What do you mean? The album was recorded onto multitrack tape, as all his others. – Hattrem 22:03, 10 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I'd be surprised if the original multitrack recordings survive (let alone in top shape). I would like to know which albums were recorded in analog.203.214.75.127
You're in for a surprise then, as an outtake from this album (although in poor shape) was remixed with new vocals dubbed for inclusion on the 2004 album Dear Heather ("The Faith").
All of Cohen's albums except for the last two, Ten New Songs and DH, are analogue recordings. – Hattrem 06:38, 12 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

My mistake yesterday (just came to edit it): Sharon indeed debuted on the tour later that year, while Cohen debuted as producer with Lissauer in 1974:-) Tomsak 08:59, 7 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Remastered version? edit

Is the current CD edition remastered, as is the case for most of L.C.'s pre-1990 albums? --109.193.211.159 (talk) 09:04, 12 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
