Etymology of strop Edit

The 17th Century word "strap" (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/strap) derives from the 13th Century "strop" (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/strap), not vice-versa.Wikiuser100 (talk) 01:46, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Methods of Stropping Edit

In the "Methods" section, I find the second method described is impossible to understand. Please would someone describe it more clearly, or even better, add a diagram ? Darkman101 (talk) 01:24, 24 May 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I agree. No idea what the current text means. Italics doesn't help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.100.23.77 (talk) 18:07, 20 May 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Extraneous Reference to Horween Leather Company Edit

I don't understand why there's a reference to this specific company in the text of this article. It's not crucial to understanding razor strops. I'm going to delete it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:9:7740:162:29F5:8E93:B5F4:1156 (talk) 00:20, 21 June 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
