"Hated" vs. "Disapproved of" edit

"Hated" was based on (not a direct quote from) a statement by, I think, Rayner Unwin himself. He didn't disapprove of the idea, he detested it. Perhaps "Disapproved of" should be changed to "detested", or some other term equally indicative of Tolkien's level of disapproval? — Editor at Large ( talk) 03:12, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect citation for "you may lose a thousand pounds" quote edit

A citation attributes the quote to The Truth About A Publisher (added in this revision), but this blog post suggests it's from George Allen & Unwin: A Remembrancer, instead. Can anyone confirm? salty-horse (talk) 15:18, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
