Citizenship
editWhy is he described as a 'South African' journalist when he was born in England? I cannot find any references to his citizenship being South Africa. He returned to South Africa in 1995 but it's not clear when or why he first came to this country from England. I want to change the first sentence to the following: 'R. W. Johnson (born 1943) is a British journalist, political scientist, and historian living in South Africa'

Political Affiliations
editFollowing an OTRS complain about this biography, I reviewed the source and other information on the same topic. I found that only the Independent article made the claim in question and it was roundly contradicted by a variety of scholarly sources and the author's own writing. For example:
- South Africa Reborn: Building a New Democracy.Deegan, Heather.pg 54
- Launching democracy in South Africa: the first open election, April 1994.Johnson, RW; Schlemmer, Lawrence.pg 274
- Then I was Black: South African political identitites in transition.Jung, Courtney.pg 15
Unless other unimpeachable sources can be found to support the unique claim of a link to the IFP, this material should not be returned to the biography. Shell babelfish 19:35, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Not one mention of RW Johnson being well known racist against black people...
editIs it anti-semitic or something to point out this former head of the Helen Zusman Foundation is a longtime nasty black-hater? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:411:1600:A956:103:F8BF:42CB (talk) 19:08, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
