Hi - moved to "Purple Avengers" rather than "Purple avengers". Apologies for the incorrect initial spelling.
It is difficult to find modern references to the band online now, but have updated with as many extra references to the Phantom Records site, and other news articles from newspapers. There were many such stories in the 90s about the band, but they are not digitialised of course!
Purple Avengers were a significant band from the era in Australia and one of a stable of bands signed to the hugely influential Phantom Records. Various EPs and LPs were released which are now classic neo-psychedelic recordings from the era.
