Notable first readers?
editI know I've heard of cases where famous books came out of slush-pile manuscripts, and it seems to me that I've heard once in a rare while of specific, named individual first readers who had a knack for selecting such material. Perhaps we could start a list of such cases from published accounts? (i.e., where there are articles about the reader and the books s/he brought to light) Lawikitejana (talk) 13:18, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- In some cases, the first reader is almost ignored, and the editor who followed up on the first reader's recommendation gets all the glory. --Orange Mike | Talk 12:32, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
