Bow and prow

edit

It isn't made clear what the difference is between the bow and prow of a ship. And do all boats have a bow and/or prow, including rowboats, sailing ships, yachts, cruise ships? Or just some kinds? Badagnani 05:29, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Badagnan - Sorry that was me. I was trying to reword the begining phrase. I don't understand how the prow could be a metonymy of the ship itself. It didn't make sense to me. Go ahead and reword it if you want - take care... Dinkytown (talk) 04:50, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
